Who I am beyond Design

Designer by day, maker after hours

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me hanging out with my furry potatoes (they’re guinea pigs, if you’re wondering).

I’m also their full-time servant, snack provider and part-time social media manager. They have an online presence to maintain, after all.

Life with tiny, demanding clients

Much of my free time is spent cleaning up after my guinea pigs, taking photos and documenting their daily adventures for social media. In return, I receive suspicious looks and occasional permission to give head scratches.

I also sew cosy beds and hideaways for them. They usually inspect the finished work, climb inside and immediately cover it in hay.

Meet the team

Behind every designer is a highly demanding management team.

Koko Bean

Head of Quality Control

Personally tests every bed, hideaway and vegetable before it is approved for use.

Nowy

Chief Executive Potato

Responsible for strategic naps, important staring sessions and final snack approvals.

Quokky

Director of Chaos

Keeps the team agile through surprise zoomies, dramatic meetings and unplanned office restructuring.

From furry potatoes to side projects

My guinea pigs have a habit of turning hobbies into side projects.

They helped inspire Piggyway, a small-pet brand I co-founded, and Tiny Menace, my playful space for sewing, drawing and small-pet mischief.

Both began with a few ideas and somehow required even more fabric.

What’s next?

For now, I’m happy to keep designing, making things and documenting the tiny chaos at home.

The guinea pigs are in charge. I just work here.

From furry potatoes to side projects

Life with guinea pigs has inspired more than an unreasonable number of photos.

It also led to Piggyway, a small-pet brand I co-founded, and Tiny Menace, a playful project inspired by tiny pets with very big personalities.

What started with a few furry potatoes somehow became a collection of ideas, creative projects and an ever-growing camera roll.
